Fisgard Capital Management Ltd. (“FCM”) is Neighbourhood Holding Company Ltd.’s (“Neighbourhood”) exempt market dealer. Our firm operates under a captive dealer arrangement through which we distribute exempt market securities. This structure creates a focused distribution channel, aligning the dealer's efforts closely with the specific capital-raising needs and product offerings of the related issuers. This ensures that our dealer develops deep product expertise in the securities we offer and maintains a consistent focus on the strategic goals of our affiliated entities, resulting in a streamlined and well-supported sales process.

Neighbourhood is a leading residential mortgage fund operating across Canada. We work directly with mortgage brokers to provide short-term loans to borrowers who can’t access traditional bank financing. Our borrowers are entrepreneurs, immigrants, young families, and people going through life transitions who don’t fit into a bank-defined box. They work with mortgage brokers, who help them get access to alternative financing through lenders like Neighbourhood. We market to our broker partners, who appreciate that we are transparent, efficient, and reliable, trusting us to get the job done day in and day out.

Since 2015, our team has raised capital from senior lenders and wealth managers. In fall 2025, we acquired Fisgard Asset Management (“Fisgard”), creating one of the largest non-bank lenders and exempt market dealers in Canada. With Fisgard’s proprietary Mortgage Investment Corporation, launched in 1994, Neighbourhood’s combined assets under management are nearly $800 million. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

With a proven track record for growth, we are looking to add to our team to continue on this strong trajectory. FCM is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Client Advisor who will be an integral part of the fundraising team, working directly with the President of FCM and the team of CCO, Client Advisors, and the Investment Administration Team. You will be responsible for leading capital-raising efforts, building and maintaining relationships with investors, investment advisors, and portfolio managers, providing product education, and forming FCM client relationships.

Compensation: Based on experience; The starting range for this role is $70,000 to $150,000

Employment Type: Full-time; Monday to Friday

Location: Victoria, BC preferred; Headquarters - Vancouver, BC

We are seeking someone who is entrepreneurial, positive, energetic, industrious, curious, and kind with the following skills and experience:

  • Two to three years of experience in the sale of financial products, preferably in a client-facing role with a reputable firm that has provided great training
  • Great understanding of rules and processes, and quick ability to learn
  • Strong ability and confidence to interact and pursue potential capital raising opportunities through a variety of platforms and environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships
  • Effective oral and written skills
  • Good knowledge of registered plans (RRSP, TFSA, FHSA, etc.)
  • Experience with the distribution of exempt market products is an asset
  • Completion of, or enrollment in, a financial services industry program (e.g. EMP, CSC, CFA, CFP, CIM, etc.)

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities will include:

Capital Raising

  • This role calls for a visionary who excels in client connections while cultivating new and existing investor and partner relationships. You will serve as an ambassador of the firm, communicating with clarity and genuine dedication, ensuring every client interaction is not merely transactional but a building block of a trusted long-term partnership.
  • You will be involved in designing and implementing effective capital-raising strategies to drive financial growth, and in building and executing these strategies to elevate our capital-raising activities and meet and exceed corporate goals.
  • You will identify and attend community and industry events while representing the firm.
  • You will ensure that all client interactions are fully compliant with the ever-evolving landscape of relevant securities legislation.
  • Your proactive nature will shine through as you interact effectively with both current and prospective clients, turning their questions into opportunities for engagement.
  • By leveraging your comprehensive knowledge of our sophisticated products and services, you will expertly identify growth opportunities and anticipate client needs, positioning FCM as an essential partner in their financial journey.
  • Ultimately, you are tasked with bringing a critical and innovative perspective to capital-raising, providing insights and ideas that continuously elevate and cement our position as a leader in the financial industry and attracting capital to the firm.

Investor Onboarding and Providing Advisory Services

  • Meet with new and existing FCM clients and refer potential clients to other FCM Client Advisors as appropriate.
  • While providing advisory services, undergo a fulsome on boarding process, considering how the product available through FCM could fit into their investment strategy
  • Using up-to-date client information, complete required client processes and documentation, with the objective of providing a satisfying client relationship.
  • All activities should align with your regulatory obligations.
  • You will act as a client advisor, providing unparalleled service and sales support to our vital investor and advisor partners.
